Options

From

  • Mass
  • Observed volume
  • Standard volume
  • Normal volume

This option allows user to select the type of flow rate that will be input for conversion.

Calculate

  • Mass
  • Observed volume
  • Standard volume
  • Normal volume
  • Energy

This option allows user to select the type of flow rate(s) that will be converted for output.

Line Density

  • User entered
  • Calculated

This option group allows the user to input both line density or calculated it from standard density.

Standard Density

  • User entered
  • Calculated

This option group allows the user to input both standard density or calculated it from line density.

Calorific Value

  • Volume based
  • Mass based

This option is available when energy flow rate is to be calculated. It affords the user the choice of entering the calorific value of the fluid in volume or mass based units.

If only one of these is needed to be output there will be an alternative option asking whether the density (line or standard depending on output) is to be calculated or user entered.

Other option that may appear depending on the selections made can be referred to in C252.

Calculation

Calculation uses C252 as a density referral, if necessary, then uses basic relationships that relate mass to volume via density and uses that to switch between different flow rates.
